Show RECENT BRIDE ENTERTAINED Mrs. D. J. Coles of Salt Lake City, who, before her recent marriage, was Mis Shirley Edwards, is now visiting in Cedar City, the guest of her mother, Mrs. Pearl Edwards. Since her arrival in Cedar City Mrs. Coles has been extensively entertained. en-tertained. She was guest of honor at an Informal reception given by her mother Friday afternoon in the recreation hall of the Cedar City Third Ward church. Mrs. Edwards was assisted in the receiving line by the guest of honor, Mrs. W. R. Edwards, and Mrs. Helen Dix, grandmother and aunt of Mrs. Coles, respectively. Miss Beth Jolley, Miss Louise Dalley and Mrs. Utah U. Barrick were in charge of the gifts which were attractively displayed on a table decorated with cut snap-dragons snap-dragons and potted plants. The afternoon af-ternoon was spent in renewing acquaintances, ac-quaintances, with the guests helping help-ing in making up a very clever bride's book. About 60 guests called during the afternoon. Wednesday afternoon Mrs. Ouy C. Tucker entertained at a kitchen) shower at her home in honor of' Mrs. Coles to which twenty-five close friends were bidden. The af ternoon was spent playing progressive progres-sive games after which dainty refreshments re-freshments were served. The honored honor-ed guest was presented with many lovely presents together with a favorite recipe from each lady present. |
