Show Funeral services held for Donald Ence Donald Kurtis Ence, age 18 drowned in Kolob Reservoir June 30, 1974. He was born Feb. 7, 1956 in Cedar City to Donald B. and Shirley Syrett Ence. He was a graduate from the Cedar City High School and was a cook at the Town & Country Restaurant. He was a member of the LDS Church. He is survived by his parents of Cedar City, a brother and a sister. Clynton Lewis of Cedar City and Mrs. Curtis (Linda Dawn) Batchelder of Riverside, Calif. Also surviving are grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Ence and Mrs. Mildred Syrett, all of Cedar City. Funeral Services were held Wed. July 3 at 4 p.m. in the Cedar Eighth Ward Chapel. The family prayer was offered by Boyd Bladen with Dixie Morrell playing the prelude postlude music. Bishop Blaine Johnson conducted the services and Cliff Chatterley gave the invocation. A vocal duet was sung by James and Cynthia Dunaway "Abide with Me" accompanied by Loa .Johnson. The speakers were Hishop Rhett Shakespeare and Kulan Woodbury. Christine W'interrrose sang a soprano solo, "The Lords Prayer" accompanied ac-companied by Loa Johnson and Harold Butcher sang "Just a Closer Walk with Thee". Remarks by Bishop Blaine Johnson with Haymer Morris giv ng the benediction and Clair Morris dedicating the grave. Flowers were handled by classmates of Kurtis and the Eighth Ward Relief Society. Palllxarers were L. J. Benson, Scott Robb, Mel Mortensen, Kevin Nelson, Tab Nielson and l'ob Laird. Interment was in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of the Spilsbury & Graff Mortuary. |
