Show Former Cedar resident dies in Payson L.J s . is. K is , t va irV' ; , a , " , f1 ' 5 ' t i . 1 yu t s ..' . v " ; Mary Anne Lunt Mon-tgomery, Mon-tgomery, age 81 of Mona, - died June 2, 1978 in a Payson : Hospital. She was born November 16, 1896 in Cedar ' City to Randle Wilson and . Catherine Jeannette Gibson : Lunt. She married Austin 0. ; Merryweather on June 10, 1917 and later divorced. On : May 16, 1932 she married" Fountain Jay Montgomery. He died in Cedar City on February 28, 1948. Mrs. Montgomery owned and operated a motel and cafe in Rockville. She then moved to Pioche, Nevada in 1934 where they became engaged in mining. She was a clerk in the Leader Store for several years and then was elected to the office of Lincoln County Clerk which she held for 12 years. She was active in the LDS Church, PTA Business and Professional Womens Club and Literary Clubs in Pioche. She belonged to a reading club in Cedar City and a member of Aunt Margaret Camp DUP. She moved to Cedar City in 1968. Survivors include: Austin L. Merryweather of Santa Monica, California, Mrs. Robert G. (Margie) Lee of Henderson, Nevada, Mrs. Marvin E. (Martha) Wiebe of Cedar City, Mrs. Darwin (Anne) Kay of Mona, Mrs. Peter (Carmen) Wise of Henderson, Nev.; one brother and two sisters: Randle Gibson Lunt of Los MARY A. L.MONTGOMERY L.MON-TGOMERY Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Eula L. Urban of Las Vegas, Nev. and Mrs. H. P. (Blanche) L. Dotson of Cedar City; twenty-four grandchildren and forty great grandchildren. grand-children. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Cedar First LDS Ward Chapel with Mich Lunt officiating. of-ficiating. A viewing wa held at the Boyer Southern Utah Mortuary Monday evening from seven to nine and one hour prior to the services. Interment in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of the Boyer Southern Utah Mortuary. |
