Mrs. Coates of South Alamo died last Sunday morning of childbirth. Mr. Coates accompanied the remains to Omaha for burial. Hon. James Doyle made a flying trip to Denver the past week. Mr. E. W. O'Malley goes to Cape Nome within the next ten days. Mr. T. W. Dougan took Mrs. Dougan I down to Denver for her health the fore part of the week. One of the most successful missions ever held in Victor has just closed. The church was totally inadequate to accommodate ac-commodate the very large attendance. It is to be sincerely hoped that we shall soon have our new church, and Father Downey is to be complimented upon his successful efforts toward making mak-ing it an accomplished fact. At the recent election of officers . Of the Knights of St. John, the following ! were elected: Ed Walsh, president; ' Neil McPhee, vice president; T. F. Callahan;' Cal-lahan;' second vice' president t Kenivan; recording secretary, Ed Flaherty; Fla-herty; financial secretary-, John O'Brien, treasurer. The Knights now have a membership of seventy-five in good standing, and the prospects are favorable of doubling that within the next six months. The - TTn'form Rank has forty-six members.
