Show A BRILLIANT RECEPTION. ! One of the most brilliant social funs- tions w hich has taken place this season was the reception given by Mrs. C. H. Fortman and Mrs. J. J. Fallon, at the home of the latter on Monroe avenue, Jn honor of their sisters, Mrs. J. W. O'Byrne and Miss Fallon, who are visiting vis-iting them. Mrs. C. H. Fortman. Mrs. J. J. All that art and fashion could produce was discernible. The decorations in the hall were yellow and trreen, and an immense jardinere of California poppies occupied the table in the center, with graceful clematis vines clinging and intertwined on all sides. The porch, where the punch was nerved from a dainty table in one corner, cor-ner, almost completely hidden from view by the tastefully arranged flowers, was enclosed and presented an attractive attrac-tive and cosy appearance. Misses V. Shaffer, Stella Flaherty and Lillie Keating presided over the punch bowl. The archway between the parlor fcnd dining room was an unbroken bower of clematis and smilax, and the dining room, with the shades drawn, where refreshments were served, was a perfect per-fect harmony in white and pink. Everything Every-thing in the room showed how-perfectly the color scheme was preserved.
