Show Death of Noted Dominican. : The older members of the Columbus diocese heard with regret of the death at New York of Rev. Sydney Albert Clarkson. one of the oldest members of the Dominican Order in America. Father Clarkson was In hia eighty-first eighty-first year, sixty-four of which he had spent in the order. He was born near Springfield.' Ky., .of devout Catholic parents. His family came originally from, the English Catholic colony of Maryland. An elder brother entered 1 the Dominican ; Order at St. Rose's ' Convent, Springfield. Ky.. and soon ! after his ordination was sent to Memphis. Mem-phis. Tenn.J.. where he died young, a victim, of yellow fever, contracted in the. discharge of his sacred duty.
