A surprise birthday cake was presented to Burnadean Blake last Friday by her coworkers in the Instrument and Photographic Section, Maintenance. The lovely cake, which carried an icing inscription of "Happy Birthday, Burnadean," was presented to her at special ceremonies and then enjoyed by about 15 friends at lunch period. Mrs. Blake has worked at Hill AFB two years and resides in Roy with her husband, Leroy. They are parents of 10 chidren. en Roy. Helen Bullough, a clerk in Surface Terminal, Bldg. 800, took vows with Theo Galley on Jan. 18 in Las Vegas. The couple are going to make the Far West their home. Another story is that of William Holland, an inventory monitor in Storage, who married Janet Robertson recently. The first real Springtime nuptials announced from Supply is the April 11 wedding of Faye LaJean Belnap, a supply clerk in the Debit Processing Unit, Bldg. 800, to Robert Edwin Blair, now employed as a warehouseman in 21 F. Robert has recently completed three years in the Army with the 24th Infantry. Carrie Sue Beers and Veda Phipps, again of the romantic Locator Deck, will be brides Faye in April and Mav. Carrie Sue and her fiance, Dee Minnoch, who attends Weber State, will live in Ogden. Veda is marrying Keith Myers from Ogden who is with the Army Reserve at Ft. Ord. Col. Elmer Thacker, division chief of the Installation Equipment Management Office, who left Jan. 29 for a year's tour of duty in Vietnam. First Lieutenants Thomas Baranski and Robert Harvey and 2nd Lt. John Arnold were in charge of the affair which included speeches and funny presents and a really fine fishing tackle box as a farewell gift. Guests complimented Milt Boyter, assistant manager of the Officers' Mess, for his delicious and beautifully-servesteak dinners. The Thackers will maintain their home in Roy as they have three children attending Weber State College and one at the University of Utah. The bride is a graduate of Weber State College and is employed at IRS in Ogden. Her husband-to-b- e is attending the University of Utah and works at the Thiokol Clearfield Job Corps.
