Show Charles C. Larson Is Dead at Ogden Charles C. Larson, a resident of Gunnison Valley for more than 60 years, and widely known as a mer-:hant mer-:hant and buyer, answered the final call at 4 o'clock Wednesday morning at the home of his son, Ernest Larson at Ogden. Death came after an illness of more than a year. Last November Mr. Larson left Centerfield, dispos-ng dispos-ng of his business there, and went to live with his son. Before leaving, however, Mr' Larson was fast failing, and to meet his wishes, he lived with his son. Charles C. Larson was born in Denmark, Den-mark, December 15, 1857. Fourteen years later he came to America and settled in the Gunnison Valley. In his early boyhood days he worked at various var-ious occupations and1 later he engaged in the mercantile business at Center-field. Center-field. In addition to his store he was engaged in wholesaling eggs and poultry poul-try and through his visits to the many homes of the valley everybody knew "Uncle Charley," who always had a friendly greeting and a smile for men, women and children. Mr. Larson is survived by four daughters, Mrs. N. J. Baer, Salt Lake; Mrs. Don Christensen, Ogden; Mrs. J. L. Christensen of Mayfield, and Mrs. W. M. Nielson of Centerfied, and two sons, Ernest Larson of Ogden and Chauncey Larson of Pueblo, Colo. Mrs. Nielson and other relatives left Wednesday morning for Ogden to help arrange for burial services. The body will be brought here at which time funeral services will be announced. |
