Show I pr Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Barton Bartons To Be Honored For Golden Wedding The children of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Barton will honor their parents par-ents at a reception celebrating their 50lh wedding anniversary on Saturday, Satur-day, Nov. 4, from 1 until 4 in the afternoon at Southern Terrace Receptions, Re-ceptions, 285 W. Tabernacle in St. George. Joseph Lorenzo "Ren" Barton of Tropic married Lola Owens of Panguitch, Pan-guitch, Nov. 1, 1939, at the St. George LDS Temple. Now retired in St. George, they have lived in California, Idaho, Nevada and Utah during their married life. Mr. Barton worked as a carpenter in California during World War II, living afterwards in Hurricane and St. George and in Henderson, Nev., for longer periods of time. Since retiring they have served three LDS missions, to Harrisburg, Pa; Nauvoo, 111.; and most recently, to England. The Bartons are parents of 10: Joe "Gren" Barton, Albany, Ore.; Kay Barton, St. George; Mrs. Richard (Roma) Barton, Fort Lee, Va.; Mrs. Jan (Janet) Bennett, Henderson, Nev.; Mrs. Larry (Shirley) Gibson, Highland; Jack Barton, Pismo Beach, Calif.; Neal Barton, Panguitch; Richard Barton, Bullhead City, Ariz.; Mrs. Jim (Joyce) Bennett, Cedar Crest, N.M.; and Mrs. Kimball (Betty) Wirig, American Fork. They have 45 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. |
