Show The Dixie Owl, St. George, Utah 17 1st yrs. vs. 2nd yrs. Winners, 2nd yrs. The games were all intensely interesting. Of course each class wanted to be victorious, therefore it exerted its utmost strength in trying to win the game. Deafening yells and shouts came from the side lines, and hearty laughs were enjoyed b7 all. The husky Second years carried off the victory, and with it the pennant which was offered to the winner. Owing to the fact that the school has so many good athletes this year, it is going to be rather difficult to determine just who are the most efficient ones. Realizing this, we may assure ourselves of a most prosperous year in both basket ball and track events. Our coach, Mr. Paxman is going to spend every effort with the boys in trying to win victory for our school. Now students, what it takes to win is the uniting of all. Lets unite, and unite in earnest, to make this the D. N. Wed. Oct. 29 Cs banner year . in Athletics. No one but Fourth Year boys should read this. While you are picking out a wife, there is nothing like picking a good looking one, because even the handsomest woman looks homely sometimes, and so you get a little variety ; but a homely one can only look worse than usual. Beauty is only skin deep but that is deep enough to satisfy an ordinary man. Then, too, if a fellow is going to marry a fool, and lots of men have to if they are going to hitch up into a well matched team, there is nothing like picking a good looking one. God has placed an angel with a flaming sword at the gate of the temple of learning, and all those who enter there Geo. W. Middleton. must leave frivolity behind.
