Ellen Whelan, one of two girls in the group, presents another highlight with "Both Sides Now, a fclk tune written by Jonl Mitchell. As the groups manager Bob Drew pointed out, one of the main alms of the Minstrels is to present a wholesome picture of America to the world. The group doesnt sing protest songs because, as one of the singers said, "You dont have to have riots and such things to be happy. Patriotism Is roundly emphasized, particularly at the end of the show with the groups lively This Land Is and an encore of My Land, the same number.
