Show HERITAGE QUILT WINNING QUILT Heritage quilt created by Sarah Beth Galloway, Centerville, was one of the Davis County quilts to compete in the area contest. Mrs. Cleo Page, Bountiful 2nd Ward Relief Society president and Mrs. Eileen Wendall, right, present a winning quilt in the Davis County and area contests. A Beautiful quilters and talented artists combined skills to create outstanding Bicentennial quilts during the spring throughout Utah. The quilt contest was sponsored by Utah State Universitys College of Family Life. DAMS COUNTY boasts its share of talented contributers as twelve quilts were entered in the contest. Seven of these were selected as winners to compete in the area contest at Ogden with Weber county. The Davis County quilts were exhibited in the Davis County Public Library in Farmington at the end of May. Nearly 500 people enjoyed seeing the quilts at that time. THE FIVE area winners from Davis County were: Bountiful 2nd Ward Relief Society, (quilt designed by Eileen Wendel); Claire Field, Farmington; Sara Beth entered by: Fern King, Bountilul; LaVena Leikis, finalists at USU will during the August. Free Bus Bides The Utah Transit Authority has announced that Sunday, July 4 and Monday, July 5, will be designated for no fare in the area. TWO OF the Davis Quilts and three from Weber county were selected in the area contest to go to USU in state THE BOARD of Directors of the public transit company voted that their contribution to the Bicentennial should be the no fare routes on the 4th and 5th.
