Show Anna Pollock To Celebrate 80lh ANNA POLLOCK Anna Pollock will be honored hon-ored with an 80th birthday open house on Sunday, Sept. 14 at the home of her son, James L. Pollock and family, 2749 South 450 West, Bountiful Bounti-ful from 4 to 8 p.m. THIS FAMOUS cook, known for her pastries and cinnamon cin-namon rolls, baked for main friends and neighbors, was born at the turn of the century on Sept. 8. 1900 in Breast. France. While working at t he-family he-family ow ned lumber, coal and grocery business in Breast, during World War I. she met an American soldier, Jair.es LeRoy Pollock and they wcie married June II, 1419. AS A YOUNG war bride, ' lie came with Jim to the United States. They settled in Nanipa. Ida., where Mr. Pollock woik-ed woik-ed for the Union Pacific Railroad. Rail-road. Mrs. Pollock woiked as head cook for the school lunch program at Nanipa High School for over 17 yeais. Often in the summer she cooked for the Boy Seoul camps at Warm l ake or McCall in Idaho located on Payette Lakes. Since living in Bountiful, she has cooked lor the Girl Scouts al C amp Ked Cliff as "cookie" lor five years. |
