Show 90th Date VEDA W.GREEN Veda Jane Walker Green, born Dec. 3, 1888 in Lewis-ville, Lewis-ville, Idaho will be honored at an open house on Sunday, Dec. 3between 4and 7p.m. at 136 East 200 North In Far-mington. Far-mington. SHE AND husband Luman P. Green lived in Ogden for 40 years and moved to Far-mington Far-mington two years ago to be near her daughter, Mrs. David Merrill. She has served in leadership capacities and as a teacher in almost every organization or-ganization in the LDS Church, beginning when she was a young girl and continuing throughout her life, until just a few years ago. Many of those whose lives she has touched, keep in constant touch with her. SHE HAS also been and still is a very concerned and interested citizen in civic affairs. af-fairs. Has been an active member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers Mount Ogden Chapter, written a book "Ideas and Ideals from the Scrapbook of Veda Green," which has been distributed among her descendants. In addition she has written and given numerous histories and presented them at meetings meet-ings of the DUP. Has written her personal history in a series of journals. MRS. GREEN is still very talented in all kinds of handwork hand-work and sewing, through the years has made hand painted or embroidered quilts and quilted more than 100 quilts.' Within the past year she has made crib quilts for many of her great-grandchildren and is still painting. She has also done painting of ceramics and china. SHE AND her husband have five children, three daughters and two sons, 22 grandchildren and 80 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Their children are Leola (Mrs. David) Merrill, Far-mington; Far-mington; Maud (Mrs. Philip Empey), Las Vegas, Nev.; Mary (Mrs. Paul Elliott) of St. Simons Island, Ga.; Luman A. Green, Lake Arrow Head, Calif.; and Dr. Peter C. Green, Mololla, Ore. MRS.
