Show I James K. Stewart James Kenneth Darley Stewart, 73, died Friday, Oct. 24, 1986 in Bountiful. He was born Dec. 25, 1912 in Wellsville, to James Haslam and Elizabeth Thirkell Darley Stewart. Married Elsie Doris Wolfe Dec. 21, 1934 in Ogden. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. During World War II, Kenneth enlisted in the Navy as an Engisn. Following his basic training, he was sent to Harvard University and to Massachusetts Institute of Technology for special training in electronics. When he finished his schooling, he was assigned to duty in the Atlantic fleet. As the fleet reached Norfolk, Virginia, one of the officers located at this post was ill. Kenneth being qualified to do his work, was chosen as the replacement re-placement and was left in the United Un-ited States. f After serving a time there, Kenneth Ken-neth was transferred to Panama City, Fla., as an instructor at the Naval Base. He was later assigned td sea duty in the Pacific. On his release from the service, he was a lieutenant senior grade. He retired from RCA after 29 years of service. He is survived by his wife of Bountiful, two sisters, Edna Mor-rell, Mor-rell, Ida.; Blanche Firestone, Calif. Preceded in death by his mother and father. Services were held Wednesday, Oct. 29 at the Val Verda 3rd Ward Chapel. Interment in the Bountiful City Cemetery. |
