Show Perry Pulse reunion was held at the Willard Park on Sunday. Those attending from Perry were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sebek, Mrs. Perry ward chapel nears completion Janice By Mrs. Max Nelson Hoping for completion of the new chapel by the middle of December are the members of the two Perry LDS wards. Much of the outside work is now being completed with most of the brick work done, the roof is about half way completed and the beautiful rock front is about done. This rock wall at the front of the chapel is quite unique. The rocks were hauled to the building site by ward members from Rocky Coral above Perry. This is adding a very distinct feature to the building. Another interesting feature of the building will be that it is one of the very first new churches to be carpeted throughout. This should really add to the beauty and upkeep of the building. Things look as if they are going right on schedule. The ward members are anxious to start their meetings in this beautiful new building. Go Fishing The teenage boys, their leaders and some of their fathers of the Perry second ward have enjoyed a lot of camping and fishing this past week. The boy scouts of troop 330 spent seven days at Flamming Scoutmaster Goige. Dale Wagstaff was accompanied by Charles Matthews, Will Hendrick, and Dave Hewlett along with 11 other boys, Chris Gibbs, Kelly Hewlett, Blair Tomlinson, Blake Crouch, Mark Adams, Bruce Hirschi, John Little, Curtis Marble, Troy Maddox, Brian Weight, and Scott Youngberg for a real fun week. On Saturday they floated down the Green River and then while at the Gorge they all caught fish with Mark Adams catching the largest. Also some water skiing and swimming was enjoyed by the group. The Venturers traveled to Island Park for their activity. Leaders Paul Krambule and Noel Gibbs and boys Rick Bylsma, Leon Lewis, Eric Rasmussen, Dennis Hirschi, Kent Lund and David Sovy met Reese and Brett Whitaker and Jerry and Brian Nelson up there. The group enjoyed fishing, floating the river and motor bike riding during their stay. They were joined by Gordon Nelson, Joe Heiner and Ken Birch before their return. Most everyone is interested in getting in a winters supply. But I think the members of the Perry second ward really go big when they take on a project. They decided to can corn as part of ward week, they invited a few from the area to go along with them. Twelve Dickups were filled with corn and off to the cannery they went. When it was all canned they had canned almost twice as much as planned. But it was well worth it. They not only got all the cans of good corn they wanted they also had a fun social evening in doing it. Even if it was almost two in the morning before some of us got home. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Nelson this past weekend was a niece Carla Nelson of Pleasant View. .NNVvV Xs- a.M The Explorers traveled to the Uintahs where they were able to catch some two and three pound fish.
