Temple rite weds pair Couple will observe 60th wedding date Rites performed Aug. 26 in the Salt Lake LDS temple united Miss Mary Jo Olsen and Thomas C. Johnston in marriage, with the couple honored that evening at a reception in the Box Elder North stake center. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Blaine F. Olsen of Brigham City. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale T. Johnston of Perry. The bride wore a lovely full length gown of white sheer nylon over polyester with a bodice beaded with pearls and trimmed with lace, juliette long sleeves, a chapel train, and matching lace trimmed long veil. She carried a bouquet of yellow rosebuds and babys breath nestled into greenery and tied with white ribbons. hunting and fishing. Mrs. Glenn served as president of the Primary organization and also served as PTA president. She has enjoyed spend her leisure time with her children and grandchildren. Both Mr. and Mrs. Glenn have enjoyed the association of friends and neighbors in Tre- immediate members of their family. Howard Glenn was born in Wellsville, a son of Walter and Nancy Bankhead Glenn. Mrs. Glenn, the former Effie Obray, a daughter of John K. and Jane Bradley Obray spent her girlhood in Paradise. They owned a large farm in Hansel Valley where they lived for many years before establishing a home in Tremonton. Active in civic affairs, Howard Glenn was president of the Box Elder County Fair board, president of the Lions club and president of the Farmers Union. Prior to the wedding, the bride was honored by prenup- tial parties and showers. A storage and miscellaneous shower was hosted by Donna Cook, Virginia Lorscheider, Arda Everton, LaVon Reeve and Joy Jepperson. A kitchen shower was given by Lisa Peterson. The couple honeymooned in Southern California and are now making a home in Orem. A few weeks earlier Dr. Stan Andersen and daughters Jordan and Adrian, all of San Francisco spent several days here visiting their mother and grandmother, Mrs. Abbie Andersen and the RichAb-bi- ards. Traveling News Mrs. William G. (Dorothy) Smith of Loveland, Colo, and Mrs. Marie Metcalf of Salt Lake City were recent overnight visitors at the Floyd Jensens. Mrs. Smith came to Utah early on the morning of Sept. 14 and joined other family members at the Salt Lake temple for the wedding ceremony of Paul Harris and Kathy Kohfeld, both of Logan. Paul is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Ron Harris and is the grandson of Mrs. Bertha Harris and the Floyd Jensens of this city. Kathy is the daughter of Mrs. Mary Ann Kohfeld and the late Kenneth Kohfeld, formerly of Norton, Kansas. After the wedding ceremony, performed by Elder Marvin J. Ashton, family members and friends attended a wedding breakfast at in host- Logan. The newlyweds are making a home in Logan where Paul is attending USU, majoring in Kathy graduated from USU last spring with a BS degree in child development and is currently employed in Logan. Kathy and Paul are graduates of Logan High school and the LDS Institute of Religion where Kathy was active in LDSSA. Paul fulfilled an LDS mission to the Hawaii-Honolulmission. On Thursday, Sept. 15, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Metcalf and Mrs. Jensen motored to Salt Lake and spent some time at the church office building and then Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Jensen drove to Provo to spend some time with Cindy Smith who is attending BYU. This group will entertain in New York City, Disneyworld in Florida, Denver and in Canada this coming year. Negotiations are in progress to take their group into Russia on their European tour next summer.
