Show .-v ' . A J i 111 T0 OBSERVE I PIONEER DAY Milford is planning on a real old fashioned celebration on the 2 4th, in honor of the coming of the Pioneers Pio-neers to Utah. The day will start with a parade down Main street at nine o'clock. There will be emigrant wagons, automobiles, auto-mobiles, floats, hand carts, cows, Indians In-dians and the mnv-..-. Tl... T.,.ii ....... . iuc mutatis will make an attack on the emigrants and scalp a few of the bald headed ones, and make them get away back to their stronghold in the bluffs. At 10:30 a program will be given at the Grammer school grounds. This will be composed of music both vocal and instrumental and some good speaking. The sports at 1:30 will be of much interest, the complete program of which follows: 1. Boys entertainment race one silk necktie. 2. Potato race for girls, 10 to 12 two ladies' fans. 3. Wheelbarrow race for boys. 12 to 14 one fancy jack knife 4. Obstacle race for boys over IS one pair leather puties. 5. One hundred yard dash, free for all one pair leather puties 6. Nail driving contest for married mar-ried women one pair silk stockings 7. Running high jump one pair fancy leggings. 8. Shooting contest. girls 16 to married one pair silk stockings. 9. Tug of war between married and single women ice cream. 10. Relav J-nc'n hetwei.niiijrri.ij and single men Ice cream. 11. Egg race, old ladles over 60 1 pair of old ladies' comforts. Various chiltlrens' races all thro the sports. Alter the sports conies the real sport aball game between the Milford Mil-ford team and the McGill, Nevada, team. This will be a real game for each team is full of confidence and determined to win. On the 23 there will be an all night dance with music by the Milford Mil-ford orchestra and on the 2 4th another ano-ther dance with music by the Resell Jazz band. An invitation is extended to all to come to Milford for a grand good time. . A large number of our friends among the railway bunch, all the way from Caliente to Lynndyl are coming com-ing with their best girls antl a grand good time Is sure to be here. There will be plenty of free ice water supplied sup-plied to strangers. |
