Daniel S. Hut chinas Funeral services were held Saturday, May 15th, in the Milford LDS Ward Chapel for Daniel S. Hutchings, 72, who died of natural causes, May 11, 1976, at his home. Mr. Hutchings was born in Beaver , Utah, October 2, 1903, to Benjamin Earl and Mabel Severance Hutchings. He married Golda (Jackie) Shepard, January 29, 1940, in Evanston, Wyoming. She died November 17, 1974. He was a retired conductor conduct-or for the Union Pacific Railroad . He worked as a conductor on the UPRR for 48 years, from which he retired re-tired in 1971. He also boxed professionally as a young man. Mr. Hutchings had been a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge 42 in Milford for 16 years, in which he served as Noble Grand three sep-, sep-, arate terms. He had just completed a year as Utah Grand Master during the 1975-76 term. He was elected elect-ed Representative to Sovereign Sover-eign Grand Lodge in Denver for the 1976 Session. He had been an active member of the Milford A .A. Chapter for 26- years. He traveled during this time throughout the state, appearing appear-ing on radio and TV as well as speaking at various chapters chap-ters throughout Utah. Survivors: two brothers, Roy Coleman of Saratoga, Calif, and Dave Coleman of Milford; four sisters, Gladys Coleman Zelms ofSanFran-cisco, ofSanFran-cisco, Calif., Mrs. Earl(Eva) Coleman Stonelocker of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Lewis (Beth) Coleman Wolf of Saratoga, Calif., and Verla Hutchings of Twin Falls, Idaho. Services were conducted by Victory Rebekah Lodge 43 at Olpin Mortuary and graveside rites under the direction of the Milford IOOF Lodge 42. Pallbearers: Milford A A. Chapter, Keith Dotson, Den -zil Craw, Don Yardley, IOOF Lodge 42, Marion Walker, Norman ' Lamb, and Ted Bridge. Honorary Pall Bearers: Bear-ers: Milford IOOF Lodge 42 and members of Milford A .A. Chapter. Interment was in the Milford Mil-ford City Cemetery under direction of Olpin Mortuary. |
