Show M AGED MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED Charles Beard, a well known and highly respected citizen of Milford about sixty-five years of age, was very seriously injured last Saturday about noon. He was driving his team in from the ranch and when starting down the steep hill back of Hotel Milford a piece of loose wire caught on one of the horses' tugs. Mr. Beard stopped the team and was trying to free the harness from the wire when an auto came along and the wagon being hard to hold back the horses were easily started down the steep grade. Mr. Beard became entangled in the wire and was dragged by the frightened team down the hill until the wire broke loose. The team ran against a post at the bottom of the hill and stopped. The unfortunate man was severely bruised and though no bones were broken, Injuries received re-ceived and the shock have placed him in a most critical condition. At this writing his condition shows no improvement. |
