Show Senior Grand Parents Day Senior citizens from throughout Central Utah are invited to a special "Grandparents Day" open house Thursday (April 15) at ent Brigham Young Lester R. Lyon David Strasburg Dies University's new Conference Center northeast of the : Marriott Center. Phileon B. Robinson, I director of the BYU Resource Center on Adult Development and Aging, said exhibits and displays are planned for the day and prizes will be awarded to the oldest grandparent and the one who has the most living descendants. All activities ac-tivities are free and open to the public. A special senior citizen program titled "David and Dean: A Touch of Class" will be held at 6:30 p.m., Robinson said. It will feature David Gardner and Dean Black who are well known performers among senior citizen groups in Utah county. For further information, in-formation, call 378-4365. LEHI- Funeral services ser-vices for Lester R. Lyon, 69, who died Sunday, April 4, 1982, in a Salt Lake City hospital, were Wednesday Wed-nesday in the Lehi Tenth Ward. He was born March 21, 1913 in Manti to James Martin and Josephine Lyon. He married Margarie Brooksbank February 26, 1936 in Manti. He was a maintenance main-tenance foreman in the toxic area of the Tooele Army Depot. He was retired and a veteran of WWII in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the LDS Church. Survivors include his wife, three sons and seven daughters, Brent K. Lyon, Sandy L. Lyon, Mrs. Steve (Lisette) Kaufman and Mrs. Charlotte Barnes, all of Sandy; Gordon J. Lyon of Denver; Mrs. Gerry (JoAnn) Elerding of Enumclaw, Wash.; Mrs. Toshiro (Nadine) Tahara of Yokahama, Japan; Mrs. Richard (Brenda) Doremus of Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Judy Sutter of Redmond, Red-mond, Wash.; Mrs. Gary (Julia) Moosman of Pleasant Grove; 15 grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Alburn Lyon of Manti and Mrs. Voneta Christensen of Magna. Burial was in the Lehi City Cemetery. AMERICAN FORK-David FORK-David Strasburg, 74, of Orem, died Saturday, April 3, 1982 in Orem. He was born March 22, 1908 in Highland to Louis Henry and Fredricka Honeck i Strasburg. He married ,Melba Rogers on June 30, 1933, in the Salt Lake 'LDS Temple. He attended schools in lffighland and American fFork. He lived in Highland for 43 years. He was a counselor in the bishopric and was a temple worker in the Provo LDS Temple. ' He was retired from " Geneva Steel and was also a farmer. Survivors include his Hansen, Michael Dennis, Neal Matthews, Wesley Sorensen, C.R. Charlesworth, Paul Carling and Richard Jenkins. Honorary Pallbearers were Dennis Matthews, Brian Wilkersen, Rory Tanner and Karl Powell. Glenn Mickelson gave the family prayer and the invocation was by C.R. Charlesworth, the benediction was by Neal Matthews, and the dedicatory prayer was by Louis D. Strasburg. Meditation music was played by Kate Rogers, two vocal solos were presented by Janette Wilson accompanied by Doris Ellenberg. Burial will be in Lehi City Cemetery. s, Hazel May Powell j'Bone, 92, died at the i,home of her son in Clearfield Monday evening. She was born May 1, 1889 in Lehi, the daughter of Thaddeus and Esther Anne Ashton Powell. She married Isaac Eugene Bone June 30, 1911 in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. .Mr. Bone died 'February 17, 1949. Mrs. Bone had served as ward librarian, Relief Society teacher, gifted quilter, banquet decorator, and a member of theD.U.P. She is survived by two sons, Isaac Richard Bone, Clearfield, and T.J.
