Businesses like Park City Towing and Geneva Rock already operate nearby. Wednesday the Summit County Commission rezoned roughly 15 acres at Quinn's to accommodate others. A final site plan for the park was also approved for The Burbs, which could result in the resolution of a lawsuit the group filed against the county last year. Other calls received last week by dispatchers include: An lS-ycar-okl woman was reportedly selling magazines door to door in Sun Peak March 21 without a permit. A man from Evanston, Wyo., reported a case of check fraud to the Summit County Sheriffs Office on March 21 at 2:48 p.m. A guest staying at The Canyons resort reported her purse stolen to the hotel on March 21 at 4:29 p.m. On March 21, an Oakley resident reported the smell of gas near the propane tank at their home. A ! 997 Saab was reportedly stolen from a parking lot near Hie Canyons on March 21 at 10:48 p.m. A 50-yciir-okl man was reportedly found dead in a stairwell at a bar near Kamas on March 22 at 2:08 a.m. On March 22. a man told a dispatcher his skiing equipment was stolen at 'ITie Canyons. A car was found abandoned in a cul-de-sac in Summit Park on March 22 at 2:58 p.m. On March 22. a blue Jaguar was reportedly stolen while parked at a restaurant in Park City. No injuries were reported as a result of a car sliding off the road into a ditch near Ciari'f Ranches in South Summit on March 23 at (r. 11 a.m. A window was broken but nothing was stolen during a vehicle burglary reported to the sheriff's department on March 23 at 9:10 a.m. Nothing was stolen during a house burglar}' reported to the sheriff's office from Francis on March 23 at 9:04 p.m. A former employee was suspected in the theft of money from a business on Landmark Drive at Kimball Junction on March 24 at 9:29 a.m. A trailer full of tools was reportedly stolen from a house in Francis on March 24 at 11:02 a.m. A Union Pacific train was reportedly blocking a road in Echo while slopped on the tracks on March 24 at 3:53 p.m. Another train reportedly blocked the road while slopped in Echo on March 26 at 7:4S p.m. Responding to complaints from Echo residents, the Summit County Commission has instructed deputies to cite engineers who block tracks in the North Summit lown. On March 25, a motorist in a Chevrolet Blazer reportedly struck a garage and vehicle parked at a house in Hoytsville at 1:35 a.m. A man reported a case of domestic violence to the sheriff's office from western Summit County after his girlfriend reportedly assaulted him during an argument on March 25. On March 25. a hit-and-run traffic accident was reported to the sheriff's office after a motorist struck a parked rental car. Tires were reportedly slashed on a car parked at a Coalville apartment complex on March 25 at 1:14 p.m. Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a Cojlville man reported thai tires on his car were slashed the same afternoon. A business on Landmark Drive reportedly received a fraudulent check for $494 on March 25 at 2:53 p.m. No injuries were reported as a result of a traffic accident involving a car and motorhome on March 25 at 4:08 p.m. A Salt Liike man told a dispatcher his snowmobile was stolen in Summit County on March 25. On March 25. a Powderwood resident says nothing was stolen when her condominium was burglari/ed and ransacked. A traffic accident involving two cars was reported to ihe sheriff's office from Sacked Drive in Jeremy Ranch after one car damaged some trees in the neighborhood on March 26 at N:4tS a.m. Tools were reportedly stolen at 'Jlic Canyons on March 26 at 7:04 p.m. A 20-yoar-okl woman survived after reportedly intentionally overdosing on insulin in the Snyderville Basin on March 26 at 10:14 p.m. A Coalville woman claims people have recently slashed several times on her car and another was cm on March 27.
