Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed proposals will be received by the Utah Department of Transportation UDOT-DPS Building Build-ing (2nd Floor), 4501 South 2700 West. Salt Lake City, Utah, 84119, until 2 o'clock p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 1988, and at that time publicly opened for construction of Surfacing and Drainage in Davis County, the same being that section of 800 North at 1000 West in Clearfield, Intersection Improvements Improve-ments identified as State Project No. M-20640) The length of road to be constructed or improved is 0. 106 miles, and the principal items of work are approximately as follows: 25 Cu. Yds. of Concrete Class AA (AE), 3 Each Parshall Measuring Flume V-853, and 350 Lin. Ft. of 15" Reinforced Concrete Con-crete Pipe Culvert Class B. The project is to be completed in 45 working days. A contractor's license is required prior to bidding, bid-ding, but must be obtained before undertaking any construction. In conformity with the Federal-aid Highway Act of 1968 the U.S. Department of Labor has certified the wage rates for this project which are the minimum mini-mum wages to be paid on this project. These rates are made a part of the contract documents. The attention of bidders is directed to the fact that this Department has been advised by the Wage and Hour Division, U.S. Department of Labor, that contractors engaged in highway construction work are required to meet the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, (52 Stat. 1060). This contract is subject to all appropriate Federal laws, including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. A current list of minority contractors, suppliers, and equipment lessors is available and will be furnished fur-nished by the Utah Department of Transportation, UDOTDPS Building (1st Floor Civil Rights Offices), upon request. Proposal forms, plans, and specifications are on file in the office of the Utah Department of Transportation, Trans-portation, Salt Lake City, and the office of its Dis-. trict Director at Ogden, Utah, where they may be reviewed by prospective bidders. Specifications, proposal forms, and plans may be obtained only at the Department Offices at Salt Lake City, upon application and payment of a fee of $20.00, none of which will be refunded. Each bidder must submit a bid bond from an ' approved surety company on forms provided by the Department; or in lieu thereof, cash, certified check, or cashier's check for not less than 5 of the total amount of the bid, made payable to the Utah Department of Transportation, as evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the contract bonds as required. The right to reject any or all bids is reserved. Any additional information may be secured at the office of the Utah Department of Transportation. Transporta-tion. .
