Hostesses at Elaborate- Tea in Bcrthana Honoring women quests of the members mem-bers of Iho Utah Bankers' association presant in Ogden for the twol&Ji annual an-nual convention, wives of thcigdcn bankers entertained at tea Friday afl-1 ernoon in the Bcrthana. The hall, decorated elaborately with peonies and roses, presented an attractive scone. The Tfccepllon room was adorned with a number of artistically artistical-ly arranged wicker baskets of peonies, while In the blue room, a large gilded basket tilled with pink peonies, cen tercd Iho table Jn tho middle of lh room. Intending from the basket to the corners of the rooms, .streamers of pink malino, were artistically hung, which ended In fluffy bows on the walls. About sixty guest gathered for the affair. Tea was served In tho Ber-thana Ber-thana dining room, where cream roses and baby breath in crystal batlccts centered each table. JH the beautiful ceremonies which havo AYJ taken place during the month of June, Miss Hazel Levedahl, daughter of Mr, mnd Mrs. J. W. Levedahl, be-came be-came the bride of Hyrum Sander last Wednesday in tho Salt Lake temple. Following the ceremony, the young couple came to Ogilon, and in the i evening n reception was held at the ; Rvfl homo of tho bride's parents in their i honor. Tho Levedahl home was beau-tlfully beau-tlfully decorated with pink and white roses and peonies. A color scheme was carried out in pink and white in both the dcconvlons and in the refreshments. Besides tho members of the family, about forty-five guests wero present, with Mrs. Ben Garr and Mrs. Levedahl receiving. In the Hi dining room, tea was served. From Hj tho chandelier hung a bride's bouquet' Hj with ribbon streamers knotted and tied with rose buds and lilies of the valley. Extending from' tho chan-delier chan-delier to tho corners and walls of tho room, pink and whito streamers of crepe paper wero twisted and tied prettily. The tables were decorated Bfi-P2 witM. roses, whilq about the room w profusion of pink and whito peonies. Ices were served in tiny Hj baskets of pink and white. Assisting in tho serving -were Mrs. Ben Garr, Miss Mildred and Miss Marie Leve-dahl, Leve-dahl, sisters of tho bride. At a late hour Wednesday, tho brido and groom left for their weddih? trip to J Portland, Oregon. They will then sail to San Francisco. Mr. and Mrs. Sander are also expecting to visit Mexico and return to Ogden by' way of Los Angeles. They will make their homo in Ogden. KKj o Mrs. G. Richmond and her two children, William and Viva, wore Og-J Og-J den visitors during the first part of Hi the week. Mrs. Richmond, who Is on HM her way to Canada, was formerly a rosldent of Ogden. Sho is well known H here and has numerous 1 friends in J the city. For the past year Mr. and M Mrs. Richmond have been living In Bf, Preston. bR Miss Flora Wagner, who has boen attending the University of Utah dur-( dur-( s r ln last few months spent a few " days as the guest or Miss, Beatrice Johnson. She returned to her home in Gran-1 Junctlou, Colorado. Another June wedding took place Thursday In tho Salt Lake temple, when Miss Hilda jr. Noble, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Noble, of 2C35 Madison avenue, became tho bride of Benjamin G. Brown. After the wedding ceremony, the bride and groom were tho honored guests at a breakfast given at the home of John M. Young, 85G East Third South street in Salt Lake. Following the 'breakfast, the young couple left on a short vedd:ng tour and will bo at homo to their friends, July 1, at 761 Twenty-third street, Ogden. Miss Tholma Crane and Miss Judith Ju-dith Johnson of Colorado are the guests of Miss Leila Doxoy and Miss Beatrice Johnson. . t Mrs. A.' Day of 1SS Twenty-fifth street and Mrs. George Oram of( 2S18 Grant avenue are on their way to San Francisco, California, where thoy are planning to be in attendance at the National convention of the Domorcats. Beforo returning to Ogden, Og-den, they expect to spend several weeks in San Francisco and Los Angeles visiting friends. c Addle Scott Bakor was an Ogdcn visitor last Wednesday for a few hours. She wa3 enrouto to California, Cali-fornia, where she will altond tho Democratic convention. w Miss Phyllis Reed entertained a number of her litllo companions last Sunday afternoon at her Iiomo in Ogden canyon. Roses and Whito peonies, artistically artistical-ly arranged in a wicker basket formed tho protty and attractive centerpiece cen-terpiece for the table, at an afternoon after-noon tea given by Mrs. J. P. Murphy at her home, 2651 Adams avenuo last Wednesday afternoon in compliment to Mrs. Ethel Smallcy. The afternoon after-noon was enjoyably spent in playing cards, with tho honors awarded to Mra. Sissie Grlfrin, Mrs. Smalloy and Mrs. Scott. At 5 o'clock a delicious hot dinner was served to the guests. Mrs. Smallcy was presented with a beautiful set of china by the guests. Covers were laid for about twenty.
