Show WORK ON TIE FREIGHT DEPOT The work on the new Harrliuan freight depot Is at present being impeded im-peded by the delay in arrival of a shipment of corrugated steel. It Is expected that the steel will arrive this week and that by the last of next week the roof of the structure will be completed. The brick work on the office of the depot Is now nearlng completion and, according to Engineer A. Q. Campbell, Camp-bell, will be finished this week. The office building Is being constructed In the most fire proof manner possible. The stairway leading to the second floor is made of concrete and the roof will be constructed of the same material. ma-terial. The concrete roof for the office of-fice will make the rooms below much cooler than were the roof made of teol, as is the case in the freight house proper. In the structure of the office there will be no combustible material used except In the window frames. The work on the umbrella freight platforms Is going ahead as , rapidly as possible and the paving of the driveways paralleling the platforms Is completed. In commenting on the improvements improve-ments now under way by the Harrliuan Harrl-iuan lines In Ogden anl vicinity, Engineer En-gineer Campbell stated this morning that the work on the depot and that on the Ogden-Lucln cutoff, when, the west end of the track Is being raised to the trestle level, is progressing satisfactorily. |
