Show ARE SI1F0R SILVER Boise, Ida., Feb. 1. State Auditor Bat t-lett t-lett Sinclair returned today from Fremont and Oneida counties, where he has been visiting assessors on business connected with his office. He was accompanied into Oneida by ex-Senator Fred T. Dubois. Mr. Sinclair's visit, . while not. of a political character, proved of great service to the silver cause. In Fremont county, where the gold press boasted that silver Republicans Repub-licans had all gone back into the Hanna party, he found on the. contrary that they were as firm and unanimous for silver as ever. A mutual understanding has been reached in Fremont between Democrats and silver Republicans as to co-operation in both county and state affairs. The Capital of this city urses on silver men of the state co-operation all alons the line as a sure method of wiping the gold party' here from the face of the earth. This sentiment is popular ali over t'ha state and it is quite likely DemocratSs silver Republicans and Popuiists will cooperate co-operate on some plan mutually satisfactory. satisfac-tory. In Oneida; where heretofore there has been no silver Republican organization, a rattling organization was effected on the occasion of State Auditor Sinclair's visit. Peter FredricKsrOn, mayor of Malad, one of the wealthiest and most influential men in the county, was chosen chairman of the county committee, and Hugh Jones, a popular young man, secretary. Speaker of the house of representatives, the Hon. David L. Evans, an old time Democrat,' rendered valuable services in organizing Democratic allies in his county. Speaker Evans strongly favors fusion. |
