Show Obituary. Poujade. The death of Theodore Clement roujade at the Holy Cross hospital last Friday, elicited tender expressions of regret from all over the Intermoun- tain states. ... The high esteem in winch he was held bedause of his noble c haracter and unfailing courtesy was clearly manifested mani-fested by the sorrowing friemV who tearfully attended the funeral service. Mr. Poujade was in very truth a pioneer pio-neer of the Catholic church in Nevada and Utah. His name has been so closely interwoven with every phas?3 of the church that it is inseparable from it. 'To know him was to honor him. Kindly in his manner, quiet and un-obstrusive un-obstrusive his motto was "live and let live." To those in need he was ever generous, gener-ous, and many a person can testify to his kindly charity. In his death the church bus lost an early landmark. He will be sadly missed from St. Mary's and many and fervent will ne prayers offered from the lips of all j who knew him. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon from St. Mary's cathedral, i Rev. Father Morrissey officiated and j delivered the funeral sermon, which I was a splendid tribute to the holy life and fine character of the deceased. . The children of the Jinvion Choir ren- j dered the music; Clara Fafek and Isa-bell Isa-bell Higgins being the sweet soloists. .The Intermountain Catholic extends j its deepest sympathy to the sorrowing; wife and son, who are the real mourners. mourn-ers. The resignation and patience dur- ing hi.i final illness together with his virtuous life and many good works have won for him a crown that will last for eternity. May he rest in peace! |
