Mr. McDonald, while in Salt Lake, received the assnraiuo of local electrical contractors that trie electric elec-tric lighting equipment for the new Carbon Car-bon county courthouse will be ready for shipment within n few days. This courthouse, which has Just been finished. Is regarded as the best courthouse court-house In the stato outside of Salt Luke and all will be In readiness for the next term of the Seventh Judicial district court which will meet in the building for thfr lirst time within a few days, "The formal opening of tho courthouse court-house will not take place until our Individual Indi-vidual electric lighting plant Is installed. in-stalled. ' said Mr. McDonald, Frldav. 'This work will be completed In the next thirty days, however, and then wc will bo ready for the biggest celebration In Ihe history of the conutv. Special excursions ex-cursions will be run from Sunnvsld, Sco-flcld Sco-flcld and Winter Quarters, and Price will entertain the visitors In royal stylo while they look over tho best courthouse In the state." Mr. McDonald says business conditions in Carbon county are excellent, despite the severe winter. The opening of tho L'tah Southern railroad and the roal mines at Hiawatha have been a boon lo the county scat, and Wellington, a few miles east of Trice, Is celebrating on account ac-count of the promise of the Denver & Rio Grande railroad to build a reul station sta-tion there in the near future. |
