Please call Kathryn Little at 801-836-8104 for more information. Pleasant Grove Players will be holding auditions for "See How They Run," a hilarious hilari-ous British romp, on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 9 and 10, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Keith Christeson Theater on the first floor of the PG Library (30 E. Center). Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. No appointment is needed. Howard and Kathryn Little will be directing this production. "See How They Run" is a fast paced comedyfarce about a young vicar's wife who is trying to fit into a small tightly knit English town. Set against the backdrop of World War II, things go awry when a pompous pomp-ous church matron comes calling call-ing unannounced and a male friend from the wife's past also comes to visit while the good vicar is away. Toss in The Bishop (the wife's uncle) who shows up two days early and an escaped Russian convict con-vict who attempts to hide in the house and the story quickly quick-ly moves into misinterpreted scandal and mistaken identities. identi-ties. Throw in another vicar and a witty maid, who is a little off and you have a comedy com-edy that will make even the grumpiest smile. Needed are six adult men and three adult women. Some will need to be able to speak with a proper British accent. |
