A'n invitation was received by the Dirccl v of State Farmers' Institutes last week to lelivr an address before be-fore t'' "omin . meeting of the American Am-erican ssocintian of Farmers' Institute In-stitute Workers, to be held at Portland, Port-land, Oregon on August 16 nd 17th The subject assigned is "Organization "Organiza-tion of Women's Institutes." Prof John Hamilton in his letter requests that the address be given by the Director Di-rector from Utah, suggesting that this state is taking the lead in placing plac-ing Domestic Science in our Farm ers' Institute work, on a par with instruction in agriculture. The law passed recently by the State Legislature Legisla-ture is commended very highly by i rof. Hamilton, who is Director of Lite Fa'rmers' Institutive movement in tl e United States. The Director of Farmers' Institutes Institu-tes was alfeo recognized by Governor Spry in an appointment to attend a meeting of the Commission on Country Coun-try life, at Guthrie, Oklahoma last vcck, but on account of pressure of other dutties, was unal'c to attend. o |
