Show Life With Lynne Haymor and I got all dressed up n our fancy clothes and met Jack Longhurst and Russ Davey who were all slicked up in theirs. ?a" wtent to the Cannon Stake Center to a smorgasbord dinner and dance, (yum) and (sigh). As you come into the foyer of the Stake Center it kind of gave you the feeling that you were in a beautiful enchanted forest There were all kinds of pine trees that were sprayed with pastel blue and white paint that gave the effect of snow. There was a cute young couple there that were dancing togather with their little baby sitting on their arms. It saves money not having to pay the baby-sitter and I betcha the baby had a lot more fun. Then there were this group of ladies that were sitting at a table and one of the other ladies came up and fesked where their husbands were and this one lady said, "I knew I'd forgotten forgot-ten something." On New Year's day it was kind of a let down after all of the excitement of the night before but "Old Doctor Snow" fixed a remedy for that. A perfectly beautiful day to go sleigh riding and Oh, what fun. J3ye now ' " Lynne Hi! I didn't know what the story of the Nutcracker Suite was until my little brother 7 years old told me what it was about, and encouraged our family to go. The holiday season had me really rushing around most of the time. I was invited to Carolyn Day's Pizza Party and we listened to long-play records on her new Hi-Fi. I just love pizza and I think I must have eaten about twelve pieces of it, or at least I felt that way. The Italian food lovers who were there were: "Bnito"' Carol Kissell, "Rosa" Sarah Soder-borg, Soder-borg, "Antonio" Joanne Doyle, "Luigi" Maysie Kimball, "Pippi" Naomi Vance, and of couse the Italian beauty "Gina" Carolyn Day, and "Yours Truly" Lynne "Pizza" Jensen. After that I went to the Nutcracker Ballet and it was just beautiful especially if you've you-'ve never seen it before. There were quite a few real fine dancers in it that I knew. There was Miriam Harding as the leader of the Waltz of the Flowers, Judy Harding as a Page Boy and the First Rifleman, of the Tin Soldiers, Sandra Birch, Karen Cheney, Mary Kay English, Kaye Stevenson and Shirley White had important parts too. It's a little late to talk about New Year's Eve, but I had so much I just have to. Valerie |
