Those were Taylorsville and Kearns from the Western Division, and Brighton and East from the East, along with state host Holladay. West six will meet East five at 12:30, followed at 3 by West five and East 6. The final test will pit West seven against East four at 5:30. First-roun- d losers will be out. Wednesday action will pit the winners of games five and six at three and the winner of that game gets the automatic berth while the loser meets the winner of game seven at 5:30 for the right to play Roosevelt. Last nights action that would affect the race for the final automatic berths pitted Granger against Hillcrest, Judge at West Jordan, Cyprus and Highland, Holladay and Bingham and Alta against West. Tomorrow (Friday) is the final day of the regular season, although there will be some makeup action tonight and Saturday. Fridays schedule puts Cottonwood at Taylorsville, Granger at Granite, Murray at Skyline, Midvale and Judge at Rosewood, West Jordan at Highland, Cyprus at Brighton, Holladay at Kearns, Bingham at Alta, West and East at Derks and Hillcrest at Tooele. In the loss to Midvale, both teams had six hits, but Midvale got a pair of doubles and a homer while Cyprus was able to manage solo runs in the first and sixth frames. Sudbury absorbed the loss.
