Show fljDM&r Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Tribole wen Salt Lake visitors this week. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Tyler of Jgr ferson City, Missouri, arrived Tuesday on No. 14 to spend a few days at the C. F. Decker home. The Beaver Gold and Green ball, which has been advertised in The News, takes place this Friday night and a large number of local people plan to attend. Plans are being made for presidents' birthday ball next week in Milford, The News is advised ad-vised by Mrs. Carl Rohn, Democratic Demo-cratic chairwoman, but the exact date is indefinite. The Milford Volunteer Fire Department De-partment auxiliary will meet Monday, Mon-day, January 31, at the Firemen's hall to take inventory. All the members of the auxiliary please be present. A Mrs. D. S. Williams was hostess to her bridge club Tuesday night with Mesdames Frank Kuchen-meister, Kuchen-meister, J. M. Hughes, J. C. Smith, William Cochrane, J. M. Williams, Gene Kirk and Wilson Mooje being present. Club prize was won by Mr3. Kuchenmeister, house prize by Mrs. Hughes and consolation conso-lation Mrs. Smith. Dr. R. R. Shannon reports the birth of a baby girl January 17 to Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Wulfenstein and a boy, January 22, to Mr. ana Mrs. Dan Baudino. Miss Margaret Cochrane, proprietress pro-prietress of the Milford Beauty sop, was operated on last Saturday Satur-day at the local hospital for appendicitis. ap-pendicitis. Miss Margaret is reported re-ported getting along very nicely.. Mrs. Roy Rogers delightfully entertained at a bridge party at her apartment Tuesday evening. The high score was won by Mrs. Laurence Peterson and consolation by Mrs. Vance Fisher. Others present were Mesdames Grovei Black, Floyd Kotter, K. B. Coon, R. W. Acheson and Roy Firmage. Mrs. Walter L. Carlton of Beaver Bea-ver took the train from Milfora Friday of last week to go to Delta, where her grandmother, Mrs. W. M. Richards, was seriously ill witi. a heart attack. Tuesday morning Mrs. Carlton returned direct from Salt Lake, where Mrs. Richards had been taken for hospital treatment. treat-ment. The Pierian club met at the home of Mrs. J. R. Murdock sr. Tuesday evening. Articles from different magazines and current events were read and discusseo after which dainty refreshments were served by the hostess. Those present were Mesdames John Low, 0. C. Koch, William Dawson, J. D. Johnston, Frank Doble and Vena Wilson. Mrs. Ralph Cook was hostess Wednesday, Jan. 19, to a numbei of women friends. Bridge wa played and high points prize w won by Mrs. Faye Bradfield, high honors prize by Mrs. Ray Mills and consolation prize by Mrs. Clarence Grimshaw. Others present pre-sent were Mrs. Grover Black, Mrs. B. T. Walker, Mrs. A. A. Mcln-tyre, Mcln-tyre, Mrs. Otto Steenbock ana Miss Farsler. A shower was given last Friday night at the home of Mrs. Thomas Bradfield for Mrs. Dwight Lynn. Five hundred was played during the evening with Mrs. Wilson ! Moore, Mrs. Cecil Killam and Mrs. Jack Neely receiving prizes. Others present were Mesdames Alton Al-ton Smith, Dern Osborn, Ross Palmer, Faye Bradfield, A. J. Jensen Jen-sen and A. A. Mclntyre. - Mrs. Wilson Moore entertained the Big Four bridge club at her home Wednesday evening wifh Mrs. Ray Malstrom receiving the house prize. A traveling prize was given which wa3 also won by Mrs. Malstrom. Those present were Mesdames G. C. Cuddy j. C. Jeffers, B. E. Hutchins, George Moore, Lloyd Lee, Ray Malstrom and Robert Price. o |
