Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Powell, Le-van, Le-van, Utah, announces the engagement engage-ment of their daughter, Louise, to Darrell W. Wilden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Al Wilden, Delta. Miss Powell is attending beauty school in Provo and will complete her course in Sept. Mr. Wilden is in the Army stationed sta-tioned at Ailington, Va., and is a member of the Honor Guard. Humpherys, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Humpherys of Liberty, Idaho, were united in marriage mar-riage December 17, at the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The double-ring ceremony was performed at 1:30 p.m. by El Ray Christiensen of the Salt Lake Temple, Tem-ple, after which the wedding party was entertained at a dinner. Guests attending the ceremony were: Mr. and Mrs. Humpherys, Mr. and Mrs. Robinson, Mrs. Geneva Pace, Mrs. James Nickle, Mrs. Thur-mon Thur-mon Moody and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Crafts, all of Delta, Utah; and Mr. and Mrs. Loren Ferre, Salt Lake City. A reception honored the newly-weds newly-weds Dec. 19 at the Church of Jesus Jes-us Christ, Latter-day Saints, Elko. Decorations in the chapel carried out the Christmas theme. Tall baskets bas-kets of white chrysanthemums and red poinsettias placed in front of candelabra holding white tapers, formed a background for the reception re-ception line. Candles and a Christmas Christ-mas arrangement were placed on the piano and the bride's table was centered with a cake decorated with white and silver and surrounded surround-ed with red carnations and holly ) MR. Mrs. Florence Stenoish played prelude music while the couple received re-ceived congratulations. Tiie bride's gown was fashioned with a floor-length skirt of tiers of nylon netting over taffeta with an over-skirt of lace. The fitted bodice of lace was styled with long snug-fitting snug-fitting sleeves, lily-pointed at the wrists and a decollete neckline edged edg-ed with lace and sequins and pearls. Her finger-tip length veil of nylon illusion fell from a tiara of seed pearls and crystal teardrops. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses arranged with white netting and cascading streamers. Miss Joyce Miller of Delta was maid of honor. She wore a red vel vet sheath dress and carried a white fur muff adorned with red carnations and holly. Bridesmaids were Misses Nina Winward, Boise, Idaho; Barbara Crafts, Delta; and June Smith, Elko. El-ko. They were dressed in identical dresses of green taffeta with matching mat-ching slippers and carried white fur muffs accented with red carnations and holly. Bliss, will be held Jan. 16, from 5 to 0 p. m. at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Grant Snarr, 74 No. Grant, Midvale in honor of their 55th wedding anniversary. They were married Jan. 12, 1905 in Fillmore. ; Mr. .Bliss was born Dec. 15, 1SS2 in Toquerville and Mrs. Mattie Cropper Bliss was horn in Deseret, Dec. 31, 1SSG. Mr. Bliss has been employed at Auerbach's for the last twenty years. They have been residents of Salt Lake since 1929. They are the parents of 12 children, child-ren, 7 sons and 5 daughters. They have 35 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bliss is a sister to Mrs. Lynn Warnick, Delta and Mrs. Robert Robinson, Hinckley. Mrs. Robinson donned a white brocade dress trimmed with white fur and accented with green ac cessories while the bridegroom's mother attended the reception attired at-tired in a royal blue silk dress with matching accessories. Each mother complemented her ensurfble with a white carnation corsage. Bishop Harold Anderson acted as master of ceremonies for a musical program which included the following: follow-ing: "True Love" and "Younger Than Springtime," by girls' trio, Mrs. Caren Lee Paul, Miss Diane Allred and Mrs. Nada Joy Larsen, accompanied by Mrs. Mable All-red; All-red; vocal solo, "With a Song in My Heart," Louis Allred, accompanied accomp-anied by Mrs. Allred; piano solo, "Medley of Love Songs," by Mrs. Allred; vocal solo, "At Dawning," by Mrs. Eleanor Eardley, accompanied accomp-anied 'by Mrs. Grace Stowell; male quartet, "Lovely One," Claire Woodward, Wood-ward, Rollin Hogge, George Burner and Charles Paul, accompanied by Mrs. Allred. Miss Lorna Sorenson was In charge of the guest book. The gift table was presided over by Misses Penny Ricks, Rita Fretwell and Janet Peterson and assisting with serving were Misses Paula Grover, Sylvia Fraser and Chris Andreason. The catering was in charge of Mrs. Lou Wines and Mrs. Merle Trehal. When the couple departed on a honeymoon trip to Sun Valley, the bride was attired in a red and black wool plaid suit with black accessories. They returned to Provo, Pro-vo, Utah, where they will reside while Mr. Humpherys attends Brig ham Young University. The new Mrs. Humpherys is a graduate of Elko High School and attended BYU one year. Her bride groom attended business college at Salt Lake City, fulfilled a mission for the LDS Church and spent two years in the U.S. Army, 17 months of which were in Germany. WESLEY CUMMINS Greeted Friends The Manti Temple was the scene of the pre-holiday marriage of Miss Frances Harris and Mr. Wesley Cummins. Later the same evening, December 19th, the couple greeted reception guests in the Deseret Stake House. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Harris, of Delta. Parents Par-ents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Cummins, of Pacific Grove, Calif. The young couple are recent graduates of the Erigham Young University. For the wedding and the recep tion, the bride wore a satin floor length gown with chapel sweep. Accenting the broad "V" neck, was a band of appliqued lace scattered with pearls and sequins. Her veil of silk illusion fell from a tiny crown of pearl with crystal tear-droplets. tear-droplets. They were honored at an open house, Dec. 27th given by the groom's parents at their home in Pacific Grove, California.
