I Paying $35,000.00 of Bonds ' At the same meeting the board j authorized the taking up of $35,000 of Alpine School District bonds which ! the Burton Investment Company of i Salt hake City, are able to deliver. A j premiurr of ?G50.00 is being allowed ; the investment company to make the j deal. Some $23,000 are now available ! in the sinking fund and the balance I will he paid from the general fund i and from next year's budget, j When completed, this action will he a fine stroke of business on the part of our board since interest will I he saved on the bonds retired and 1 sinking fund moneys put in the j channel for which they are levied ! which is not always done by taxing j units. : The regular hour of hoard meetings was changed from 4 to 5 "p. m. on the : first and third Tuesdays of each month. The board heard requests for additional ad-ditional Junior high class rooms and : an auto mechanics building for Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove High and an auditorium for Lincoln High School. School People with business men of these . districts made the requests. In these matters the board listened to the requests re-quests hut took no action either for or against, preferring to wait until budgeting time to go into the situ; ation. |
