Show Mayor's Proclamation TO THE CITIZENS OF PLEASANT GEOTE A community is often judged by it's outward appearances. This is especially espec-ially true in modern times, because of the great number of tourists traveling travel-ing from one part of the United States to another. To maintain good health and for our own satisfaction, we must keep our premises clean. Accordingly Pleasant Grove City has seen fit each year to have an annual "Clean Up "Week." The week of April 8 to 13 is hereby designated for this purpose. The movement for a clean city has been steadily gaining momentum the last three years. Each year the people peo-ple of Pleasant Grove have made an extra effort in some way to improve their surroundings. During the campaign cam-paign this year eyery one should try to rid themselves of the winter's accumulation ac-cumulation of rubbish. Weeds, brush, leaves and tree cuttings should be carefully burned. Tin cans, iron material, old tubs, etc. must be sacked sack-ed or put in containers and neatly piled on the streets, so that the teams hired by the city can remove the same easily to the dump grounds. This work must be completed by Saturday night, April 13, otherwise parties not conforming to this regulation, regula-tion, will be held responsible for the removal of such rubbish piled on the city streets. . We urgently appeal to the citizens of this City to participate actively in the "Clean Up Campaign". Every citizen should do his bit to make Pleasant Grove one of the most attractive at-tractive spots in Utah. FRAJMK B. NEWMAN Mayor. |
