Mrs. Rose B. Hayes accompanied her sister, Mrs. Nettie Thorne and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Henroid to San Bernardino, California, for a short visit. They left Thursday morning by auto. Mrs. Surah Irving of Chester, visited visit-ed a tew days this week with Mr. and Mrs. Archie Maxfield. Miss Roena Irvin.g of Salem spent Sunday at the Maxfield home. Instructor S. A. Kirk and the following fol-lowing debaters Roland Jacobs, ' George Clark Gennieve Fugal and Dale Peterson, took part in a debate at the Jordan high school Thursday. Later in the day they met the Murray-high Murray-high school debaters. Mrs. William Aston entertained the Busy Circle Club at her home Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon. A delicious chicken chick-en dinner was served to eight guests. The afternoon was spent in sewing and social chat. Mrs. H. M'. Nelson entertained at a birthday party Thursday afternoon in lienor of the 7th birthday of her little daughter.
