Taylor entertained at dinner Sunday evening for Miss Hannah Miller, George Fordsham of Salt Lake City, and Misa Violet Birk of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Martin and family of Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bowden and family of Salt Lake City, spent Sunday visiting here with Mrs. Emily Paxman. Mrs. Steve Zimmerman and. family of Eureka, attended the First Ward Reunion last Friday evening and remained re-mained over the week-end visiting with Mrs. Margaret Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Douglass of Ogden, were guests Easter Sunday at the home of Mrs. Douglass's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Stice. Mr. and Mrs. Stice accompanied them home Monday and spent the day visiting. Mrs. A. L. Christensen of Salt Lake Oily, is here visiting her mother, Mrs. Sophia Greenwood. Miss Beth Nelson returned home Sunday from Dividend, where she spent two weeks visiting relatives. M'r. and Mrs. Hyrum Rupper of Provo, were Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Moral D. Steele. Karl Bennett and Harold Werner of the Bennett-Werner Radio Co., were business visitors in the capitol city Wednesday. Mrs. Leon Whipple returned to her home in Ogden Tuesday, after visiting visit-ing several weeks here with her mother, Mrs. Emma Foster. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Shafter and three sons of Bingham Canyon, were guests Sunday at the home of Mr. Shaffer's mother, Mrs. M'ina Shafter. Bishop and Mrs. Joseph H. Storrs attended the Easter Cantata "The Holy City" at the Utah Stake Tabernacle, Taber-nacle, Provo, Sunday evening. Stanley Chipman arrived home the the first of the week from the Chip-man Chip-man sheep camp, where he has been a month. Delbert Chipman left the same day for the camp. He expects to be gone several weeks. Mrs. J. C. Kirkendall and family and Mrs. C. W. Elton and two children child-ren of Dividend, visited Sunday and Monday here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Niels Nelson. Mrs. Robert Procter arrived, home last week from California, where she spent the past two months visiting relatives. During her stay, she was the guest of Mrs. Von Bird at Los Angeles, and Mrs. William A. Bohn at Berkley. Misses LuRae Buckwalter and Le-nore Le-nore Crookston attended an April Fool's party Monday evening given by the Nautilus Social Unit of the B. Y. U. at the home of Miss LaRee Van Wagoner. Misses Buckwalter and Crookston are members of this unit. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Russon and Miss Ann Chipman attended the Easter Cantata "The Holy City," which was presented by the Utah Stake, and given in the Stake Tabernacle Taber-nacle at Provo Sunday evening. Prof. Elmer Nelson and J. LeRoy Robert-sen Robert-sen directed the musical. Mrs. Melba Adamson presided over a prettily arranged bridge party last Friday evening. Easter suggestions were used in the decorations, table favors and menu. A crystall bud vase of tea roses formed a pretty centerpiece for each of the card tables. Three tables of the diversion were enjoyed, high score being won by Miss Mamie Wing. Consolation honors were won by Miss Irma Green. A dainty two course luncheon was served late in the evening to the following guests: Misses Lucile Edwards, Ed-wards, Cleo Bate, Mildred Dunkley, Mamie Wing, Irma Green, Violet Birk, Mary Abel, Edna Stewart, Mrs. Merrill White and Mrs. Marion Christensen. Mrs. Nell Pulley of Salt Lake City, spent Sunday visiting at the home of Mrs. Margaret Robinson. Mrs. Clara Larson entertained the Sororsis club at her home in Lehi Friday afternoon. Music, social chat and needle work were enjoyed, after which a delicious luncheon was served. serv-ed. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Koffard of Tremonton, visited relatives in this city last Friday enroute to Gunnison, where they attended the funeral of Adolph Peterson. They visited here again Tuesday on their way home. Miss Lenore Crookston and Miss Betha Storrs of this city, who are attending the- B. Y. XL, were among the orchestra ensemble directed by Professor J. LeRoy Robertson, that furnished the music for the Easter Cantata "The Holy City" given in the Utah Stake Tabernacle, Provo, Sun- day evening. ' Mrs. Florence Parker, Miss Sarah Parker and J. B. Parker, motored to Provo Monday evening, where they attended the Vitaphone picture, "Canary Murder Case" at the Paramount Para-mount Theatre. Charles Grant1 left Monday for Salt Lake City, where he will be employed em-ployed during the coming month. Mr. Grant is the local Maytag representative, representa-tive, but has been transferred to the Salt Lake district for an indefinite time. Mrs. William Eldridge of Salt Lake City, entertained at a bridge luncheon Saturday afternoon at the home of her parents, M'r. and Mrs. William Chipman. The entertainment was complimentary to Mrs. Leath Whipple Kleinnan of Pheonix, Arizona, who is visiting relatives in Lehi. Three tables of the card diversion were enjoyed. en-joyed. Radio music was enjoyed during the luncheon. A delicious Easter supper was enjoyed en-joyed Sunday evening at the home of Miss Orpha Rushton. A clever imitation imita-tion bunny formed an attractive centerpiece cent-erpiece for the table. Table favors, placards, and the menu were all suggestive sug-gestive of the Easter idea. Among those from this city who attended the funeral services of Adolph Peterson in Gunnison Saturday, Satur-day, March 30, were: Dr. and Mrs. James M. Grant and son, Nash, Mr, and Mrs. Samuel F. Grant and eon, Max, Francis Grant, Clarence Grant and MelTin Grant Mrs. Pearl G. Ball and Mn . Lillian G. Webb of Salt Lake City also attended the funeral In company with the local people. Mr. Feterson was the husband of their sister, Mrs. Lorena G. Feterson. Harley Jenkins has accepted a position with the American Fork Coop in the Shoe Department. He commenced his new activities last last week. Mr. Jenkins is a registered register-ed shoe man. Mrs. Sidney Nicholes, Jr., was hostess Wednesday afternoon to the Bridge club. The entertaining rooms were prettily decorated in a color scheme of yellow and white. The luncheon was suggestive of Easter, the menu and favors being carried out in this idea. High scores were won by Mrs. Arch Peterson and Mrs. Oma Mitchell. All members are given a cord-iall cord-iall invitation to be present. The B. B. Ladies were delightfully entertained Thursday at the home of Mrs. Joseph Walton. Music and other oth-er social diversions were enjoyed, followed by a dainty two course luncheon. Mrs. Margaret Robinson entertained entertain-ed at a quilting party last Friday afternoon. Following the needle diver sion, a delicious suprer was served. Those present were: Mrs. Lester Kirk, Mrs. Reed Robinson of this cily, Mrs. Laura Evans and Mrs. Jean IJolmstead of Lehi. Mrs. W. L. Johnson was hostess to the H. H. Club members last Friday evening. Progressive games were enjoyed, en-joyed, prizes being won by Mrs. Kin-ley Kin-ley Taylor and Mrs. Hatch. A delicious delici-ous luncheon was served following the .social diversion. There were seventeen present including the following fol-lowing special guests, Mrs. Hatch, Mrs. Claude Eggertsen, Mrs. G. S. Richards, Mrs. Lamoreaux and Mrs. Ray Ellison. An April Fool's .party was given in the Relief Society room of the First ward chapel Monday evening for the officers and teachers of the M. I. A. organization and their partners. The guests of honor included those who took part in the recent Road Show act, the Bishopric and their partners and Mrs. .Lillian C. Booth, stake president pres-ident of the Y. L. M. I. A. The room was cleverly decorated with foolish placards suggestive of April Fool's day. Competitive games and stunts were enjoyed during the evening. Delicious De-licious refreshments were served late in the evening to fifty.
