Ii A 1 nt RESOLUTION ASHLEY CREEK CHEEK SPRINGS RESOLVED that Vernal City forthwith take all necessary steps and proceedings to determine the extent of its present ownership of cl rights to divert water from Ashley Springs Under applications to appropriate contracts exchange agreements agreements agreements agree agree- ments or otherwise RESOLVED further that itIs it itIs itis is necessary In order to insure the ilie safety convenience and welfare of the public and more specifically for the ilie purpose of delivering an adequate water supply to the inhabitants of Vernal City and Ashley Valley Utah and for all municipal purposes that the tire said City acquire for public use by such proceedings as may be authorized by law the right to divert and perpetually use on a year year around basis all of the flow of Ashley Springs located in Section 1 Township 3 South Range Hange 20 East Salt Sail Lake Base and Meridian in Uintah County State of Utah together with the right to establish a point of diversion for said springs at or near their point of issuance RESOLVED further that Vernal City also forthwith initiate condemnation proceedings proceedings proceedings pro pro- in the District Court in and for Uintah County to condemn the right to use the entire flow of Ashley Springs located in Section 1 Township 3 South Range 20 East t. in Uintah County State of Utah on a year around basis to the extent that said rights are not already owned or controlled by bythe bythe bythe the City RESOLVED further that Vernal City legal council be authorized and directed to institute forthwith such legal proceedings in the name of Vernal City as may be necessary to accomplish the II IIA foregoing purpose A vote was called on the foregoing motion for adoption of said Resolution and the vote was as follows Councilman Jack Allred Aye I Councilman Harvey Madsen Aye Councilman Charles Shumway Aye Councilman John D D.
