Vikes win one, lose one in Region Eight action Pleasant Grove ran its region record to 2-0 Wednesday by beating Payson 83-66 on the Viking floor but Friday's game in Price was bad news for Viking fans as the Dino's thumped PG 68-56. Against the Lions, Scott Jensen found the range from three point distance five of six times and finished with 22 points. Jeff Harris had 16, David Flinders 15, with Derrick Dickerson and Craig' Hayden each getting 13. Flinders, Dickerson and Hayden are juniors. On the Dino floor in Price Friday, Carbon raced to a 30 point lead after three quarters, substituted and held on as the Vikes made a furious, but futile, fourth quarter rush to cut the led to 12. Bob Fisher had 15 points on five three point bombs with Jensen putting in 13 points. The junior varsity beat both Payson and Carbon with Greg Grothe putting in 27 against the Lions. PG hosts hot shooting Spanish Fork tonight and plays at Springville Friday.
