Show Timpanogos Stake Relief Society Conference lield president of Alpine Stake spoke. She said that the Relief Society should consist of all women of the church. "What a power that would be through out the world. Women who do not join the Relief Society in their early life are loosing a great opportunity. The younger women will receive the most good. Every woman will be a better mother if she attends the Relief Society meetings where the real fundamentals fun-damentals of child rearing and home making are taught." Mrs. Buckwalter related the experience ex-perience of President Heber J. Grant in learning to sing and gave his wonderful won-derful life's slogan as follows: "That which we presist in doing becomes easy to us. Not because it becomes easier, but because we become be-come more able to do it" High Counselman A. L. Cullimore said that no organization in the church so vitally touches the home like the Relief Society. "There never was a time when we needed to watch the spiritual training of our children as we do today. This day is different to any since the church was organized. organiz-ed. We should ever strive through proper training to fortify our children against the sins of the world. The adversary is ever alert. Let is keep busy and aid in putting over our work." Closing remarks were made by-President by-President Ella M. Cragun. The following musical numbers were given during this session: "School Thy Feelings," choir; "Speak Gentle Words," choir; vocal solo 'When Evening Comes," Mrs. Edith G. Young of Alpine Stake; chorus from the First ward under the direction of Mrs. Hone; vocal solo "Make New Friends But Keep The ;01d," Mrs. Young "Teach My Soul to Pray", choir. Mrs. Mary E. Abel gave a reading "When Tbe Light Goes Out." Prayers were given by Mrs. Louella E. Thorne and Mrs. Annie Holman. A delicious luncheon was served at noon to those in attendance from out of the ward and the Invited guests. n Relief Society conference of the Timpanogos Stake was held Tuesday, April 30 in the Windsor ward chapel, with sessons at 10 a. m. and 2 p. m. Stake President Ella M. Cragun was in charge of both meetings. A welcome talk was given by Martha Mar-tha T. Keetch, president of the Windsor Wind-sor Ward Relief Society. Response was made by Counselor Kate Jacobs. President W. W. Warnick said that the Relief Society organization always al-ways had the proper spirit to put over any kind of work. "They have a refining re-fining spirit that we feel is absent when the brethern hold meetings without them. The Prophet Joseph Smith organized this wonderful society, so-ciety, the oldest organization of its kind in the world. All of the different organizations of the church properly officered are doing wonderful work, but the Relief Society deals more closely with the home." Mrs. Almina Webb, president of the Lehi stake, also talked and stated tha. the division of the stake had been a blessing because so many more people had been placed in responsible positions. posi-tions. "If we magnify the labors to which we are called the Lord will bless us." Mrs. Goodwin, Mrs. Gardner Gard-ner and Mrs. Phillips of the Lehi stake also talked. Mrs. Lettie Gudmundsen of the old Alpine stake board made a few remarks. re-marks. Stake board member, Lavina Fugal, gave a talk on flowers and their care. "Flowers lend a wonderful influence whether at funerals, in homes or as a decoration for any occasion. The Relief Society fosters flower growing along with other arts such as sculp-turning, sculp-turning, music and applied art." Edmun Cragun, counselor of stake said that he appreciated the work of the Relief Society as a help to the bishopric of every ward, as well as the many other responsibilities that the organization carried. Bishop A. H. Lowe expressed his appreciation for the splendid program given during the morning session. Musical numbers consisted of the choir and congregation singing "Secret Prayer," the choir under the direction of Mrs. Alta B. Walker singing sing-ing "Teach My Soul To Pray," the Manila ward quartet singing "Loves Old Sweet Song," a quartet composed of Mrs. May R. Walker, Nettie Warnick, War-nick, Ethel Lowe and Mrs. E. B. Walker Walk-er singing "Sweet and Low," and the choir rendering "We Love Our Work." Mrs. Mary E. Abel of Alpine stake gave a reading "Dora." Prayers were given by High Counselor Coun-selor A. L. Cullimore and Mrs. Webb of the Lehi Stake Board. Counselor Cora W. Atwood was the first speaker at the afternoon session. She stated' that this organization which was founded by the Prophet Joseph Smith now numbers 24,775 members, and is the largest organization organiza-tion of women in the world. "Every married woman in the church should be a member of the Relief Society, as development in many lines, theology, literature, social service work, etc. is received." Mrs. Warnick encouraged all members mem-bers to work with their neighbors to become Relief Society members. Short talks were given by Mrs. Laura Dunkley and Mrs. Sarah S. Chipman of the Alpine Stake presidency presi-dency and board. Mrs. Maud D.
