Show Mrs. J. W. Cherry was hostess at a pretty afternoon Kensington at her home Wednesday afternoon, in compliment to her sister, Mrs. Kjar of Manti, Mrs. Hornung of Manti was also a guest of honor. Covers were laid for twelve. Chrislje Neilson entertained the 0. N. O. girls at her home Thursday evening. The regular form of sewing sew-ing and luncheon was carried out. Bernita, Eloese and Helen Hansen entertained a number of their little friends at a second skating party at the Armory Friday afternoon. The officers and teachers of the South Ward Sunday School held the last of this season's socials, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. P.'M. Neilson Wednesday evening. of last week. All sorts of interesting games, interspersed inter-spersed with splendid music, and a dainty luncheon, were enjoyed during dur-ing the evening. In the word contest, con-test, Tressa Larson received first and Mary Peterson the booby prize. Those present were: Messts. and Mesdamcs. P. M. Nielson, A. L. Peierson.'A. Merz, Vickers, Clarence L. The Twentieth Century Club was entertained by Miss Winifred Jensen fhursday last. Mrs. Fannie Miles lelivered the lecture on Stoddard's 'Scotlanu" in a very interesting style. The Life of Burns and his 'Cotter's Saturday Night" were splendidly reviewed by Mrs. George Jhristensen. Mrs. Davis delighted the guests with two Scotch Ballads, 'Annie Laurie" and "Jessie's Oream" "Flow Gently, Sweet Af ton and "Auld Lang Syne" were sung by a Club Chorus. Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Johns and Mrs. Hornung of Manti A-ere special guests. Fifteen members mem-bers responded trxroll call. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served during the social hour following. . The W. S. T. U. held a very enthusiastic en-thusiastic temperance meeting on Thursday night at the M. E. church. A splendid program was carried out by members of the union and by children of the Loyal Temperance Legion. The meeting celebrated the anniversary of Neal Dowe, the Father of Temperance. |
