The Spring Ci.y W;.r ' Re' it f Society Soci-ety gave a splendid program and ie ception in the tabernacle Monday March 17th, at 2 p. m. President Elizabeth Larsen presiding. The re ception was givpn by the re vly sustained sus-tained officers to Mrs. Ellen C. Tull-gren Tull-gren the former President and her coworkers. A messaline silk waist pattern was presented each one of them by the ladies of the Relief Society So-ciety organization showing the ap preciation of their faithful labo-s which covered a period of twelvf years. After the program was given, giv-en, ice cream and luncheon was served serv-ed to all prf sent; and then there was an abundance left which was seat out to the sick and aged people here. Mrs. Margaret B. Griffiths and her daughter Jaunetta Nielsen returned home lrom Cedar City last week. Miss Jaunetta is doing qjite well at present having recently undergone anopeiation for appendicitis at the Ctdar City hospital. S. T. Beck, who Has been sick for nearly a m mth past is improving. Lloyd Clawson, Orsen Acoi d, Clovd Blain, Lindon Larsen, EverdJ. Lar-sen, Lar-sen, have all gone away to seek employment em-ployment at different points in Utah. Mrs. Marenus Larsen of White Quarters and her two daughters are here visiting and expect ing to remain a few months Mr. and Mrs. Jas. W. Blain entertained enter-tained the School Trustees and the Public School teachers at their home Wednesday evening, March 12h. Frank Crawforth has gone to Rupert, Ru-pert, Idaho, to build a new residence on his farm vhich he recently pur chased thi ee miles out f om the town of Rupert. When he gets a home built the family will move ihere. Mrs. Louis I. Christensen is visiting visit-ing with her daughter and family at Mooreland. Lawrence Olsen has returned home from Mona again Mr. and Mrs. David Donaldson and family and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Claw-son Claw-son and family have gone to Idatu to live. Hans Wm. Peterson and family have moved from Salt Lake City lr Spring Citvand will live on his brother's broth-er's farm for two years; while his brother fills a two year mission to Scandinavia. |
