I ' 1 I . ... .A KARI PAGE OF Vernal and Vern Griffin of Bountiful, Utah, solemnized their wedding vows in the Manti Temple, December 3. The couple spent their wedding trip in Salt Lake City. They will make their home there. Kari Page-Vern Griffin Double ring ceremony Kari Page of Vernal, daughter of Glen and Earlene Page of Vernal, was united in marriage with Vern Griffin, son of Bob and Doris Griffin of Bountiful. Boun-tiful. The couple exchanged vows at the Manti LDS Temple in a double ring ceremony on Dec. 3 at-8:10 a.m. .A, wedding breakfast" was held for -Kari'arid Vern at the Chuck-a-Rama in Provo. Kari and Vern were honored with a reception at the Naples Ward Chapel, Dec. 6. The bride's dress was a white floor length gown with a shaped hemline train. Three tiers of chiffon overlayed white satin on the skirt. The wedding gown had a sweetheart neckline and the entire dress was accented with chan-tilly chan-tilly lace trim. Kari's veil was a chapel length veil of chiffon trimmed with chantilly lace. Her headpiece was accented with motifs with small white pearls. The bridal bouquet was arranged with blue and white roses and daisies with pale blue cascading satin ribbon. Lana Aldridge was the Maid of Honor. Denece Hein and Kathy Page were the bridesmaids for the wedding. Both the maid of honor and the bridesmaids wore floor length, long sleeved, baby blue knit dresses trimmed trim-med with white lace around the bottom, neckline and wrists. The girls carried blue and white carnations trimmed with bows and streamers of white lace. The bride's mother wore a long blue dress with a v-neck and cascading ruffle. Blue and white carnations and roses trimmed with lace were the flowers that she wore. The groom's mother was wearing a long white dress with a small printed blue flower, a round neckline and accented ac-cented with a royal blue belt. Mrs. Griffin wore a blue and white carnation arrangement with roses trimmed with white lace as her flowers. Groomsmen for the wedding were , Kelly Sorenson and Mike Laifountaine. Vern chose as his bestman for, the wedding, Curtis Nelson. Curtis wore a dark blue suit with a light blue shirt. He wore a white carnation as his bout-onniere. bout-onniere. Vern wore for his wedding a light blue tuxedo trimmed with a darker shade of blue. He wore a white carnation car-nation and a small dark blue rosebud. Three large oval backdrops with blue chiffon centers and two large arrangements were at each end of the reception line. Receptionists for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Kitchen. Miss Gwen Page greeted those persons signing the guest book and Mrs. Robert Griffin organized the gift room. Gift bearers were Amie Thacker and James Griffin. Mrs. Brett Wilkins was in charge of serving. Pouring was done by Mrs. Bert Thacker and the kitchen was handled by Mrs. Lee Ward and Mrs. Leon Oaks. The wedding cake was a three-tiered white cake decorated in shades of blue and accented with shades of blue roses. Special out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Mike Henderson from Hobbs, N.M.; Mrs. Carol Tooke and Mikie from Salt Lake City and Gwen Page from Salt Lake City. A personal shower was given to Kari by Pam Wilkins. Amanda Kitchen and Patti Griffin gave a kitchen shower. Vern and Kari took their wedding trip to Salt Lake City. The couple will make their home in Salt Lake City. |
