Show Irene Wilson dies in California Irene Bates Wilson, 82, of Belmont, Calif., died in the El Comino Hospital, Mountain View, Calif., Dec. 23, 1980. Born Nov. 27, 1898 to William and Jennie Herrick Bates in Basalt, Colo. She married Melchior Harry Wilson, Sept. 1, 1920 in Basalt, Colo. He died Nov. 14, 1958. She was a member of Kingsbury Community Church, educated in Grand Junction, Colo., and University of Colorado, Whitbeck Unit American Legion Auxiliary, Esther Club, Kingsbury Ladies Aid and Unity Rebekah Lodge and member of Eastern Star. Funeral services were in the Kingsbury Community Church Monday, Mon-day, Dec. 28. Rev. Dane Packard was in charge and gave the family prayer. "Rock of Ages" and "Little Church In the Wild" were sung by Arlene White, Alice Sherwin and Tommy Collins. Following remarks by Rev. Packard, "Beautiful Dreamer" and "How Great Thou Art" was sung by Valeska Francke accompanied by Eva Hatch. The Eastern Star, Sally and John Beaslin dedicated the grave in the Vernal Memorial Park. Pallbearers were John C. Beaslin, Eric Hunting, Cliff Whitmire, V.T. Isaacs, R.C. Haas and Don Wilson, Jr. Survivors are sons and daughters, Mrs. L.V. (Barbara) Brown of Belmont, Calif., Donald H. Wilson of Rangely, Colo., Mrs. A.L. (Jane) Rasmussen of Napa, Calif., and Ralph H. Wilson of Wilkeson, Wash.; 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. grand-children. Two sons preceded her in death, William C. Wilson and Arthur E. Wilson. |
