A county-city joint escrow es-crow proieet has been underway un-derway for the past two years to reserve funds for the matching fund project. According to an agreement the State will provide 70 per cent of the necessary funds, the county and city 30 per cent. The State's portion of the entire Fifth West roro-jec roro-jec will run about 560,000, Mayor Bunce said. It was indciated there is a possibility pos-sibility funds for the entire en-tire project may be advanced ad-vanced so it can be completed com-pleted in 19G9. The citv and county have money in escrow now for their portion por-tion of the work, the Mayor May-or said. They are now working toward increasing the funds for bridges on Holyoak Lane, and 3rd South, over the Mill creek crossings. Steel and concrete con-crete bridges will be designed de-signed by State engineers as the projects are funded. |
