"What in the world was she doing with all that toilet paper? Supplying an army?" I It all began because I have a passionate love affair for a good bargain. Torrid, compelling. I'd fight for a good sale, drive miles to save a few coins. So, when heard that a certain brand of that necessary stuff was selling at a terrific price, was on my way. When arrived the floor man assured me was in time and casually . . . almost as an after thought . . . mentioned that it was selling by the case only. I I I I Mr. and Mrs. Louis Taylor Laura Andreen Becomes Bride Of Louis 'Kelly' Taylor "Good," I answered, Til take two." I later thanked heaven I hadn't said three. I had a qualm or two because I needed help to even get ONE case to the checking counter and when I saw how TWO cases towered over both of us I wondered at my thrift. Oh, to heck with it," I inwardly said, "I'll manage somehow. Always have." When we got to the car, however, I saw the look of disbelief on the fellow's face and knew that those 96 rolls of TP were going to be a huge, big, immense, humongous problem. I "Oh, put one in the back seat and the other in front," I said cheerfully, and saw his jaws tighten as he sized that heap of TP against the proportions of that undersized preg- nant roller skate. The back seat (as that tiny space is known) is so small never put my groceries there, much less a human being. Even a child. But that night something had to be done and by pulling the front seat almost through the windshield, and the fellow putting his foot against the case, it popped in and knew it was going to take a magician to get it out. I I But then there was still that dang second case. I got in the driver's seat and pushed the seats back again, (a full two inches) and he shoved. With the window open, one corner poked out into the wind, one crushed the windshield, the other over the back of the front seat, and the other in my ribs. Actually. Well, he got the door shut, disappeared and I don't blame him. I did an acrobatic job and started the car and then realized the gear shift was buried.
