A. Gardner Adam Mirl Gardner, age 27, of Roosevelt, passed away Septeniber 9, 2002, from iqjuriea sustained in a i notorcycle accident. He was born August 31, 1975, in Roosevelt, to Lessie Roy and Lanette Jennings Gardner. Adam was always a hard worker and worked as a driller on an oil rig. He eryoyed fixing care, motorcycles, and going fishing and hunting. He loved being with his friends and was very luyal to them. He is survived by his parents, Les and Lanette Gardner, Roosevelt; brothers and sisters, Jason, Salt Lake City; Michelle, SueLynn, and Michael Gardner, all of Roosevelt; grandparents, Roy and Iona Toni" Gardner, Neola; and Mirl and Deane Jennings, Roosevelt. Interment in the Roosevelt Memorial Park under the direction ofthe Hullinger Mortuary. Arterbery Marie Venis Warburton Abegglen, 7 5, died Sept. 12. M. Abegglen Marie Venis Warburton Abegglen, age 75, of Myton passed awsy quietly at her home, surrounded by a loving family and beloved friends on September 12, 2002. Marie was born November 29, 1926 in Lapoint, as a true coal miners daughter. Her father, Floyd and mother Eva Wardle Warburton, operated a coal mine up Deep Creek, north of Lapoint, later running a saw mill at the same location. Marie went tothe infamous Altem High School on the Whiterocks road. The special few who remember the AJ terra days, remember Marie as a dark haired beauty who livened up the school as a spirited cheer leader. When tlx home town boys from World War n came home, Marie met a handsome young soldier at a dance by the name ofWillis Bill Abegglen, non ofLawrence and Edlean Abegglen of Lapoint. Bill and Marie were soon married and moved to Pleasant Valley to live and farm with Bills brother Clark and his wife Arva. Soon after, ill and Marie had their own place and proceeded to farm, milk their well cared for cows, and raise 6 much loved children. Alter her beloved husband died she worked for Duchesne County School District for over 30 years. Beyond her understood janitorial duties at t he Con Ajnore School in Myton, she alsodid laundry, planted flowers.and made the most delicious cinnamon and bread rolls for the staff, earning her the Employee of the Year Award. Marie continued her employment right up until the last year ofher life, receiving another award, an engraved brass School bell, noting her long service. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ ofLatter-Da- y Saints, she served in many capacities, including being in the Myton lWard Relief Society Presidency, still serving at the age of74. Marie spoiled and coddled her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children Shell (Catherine Richens) Abegglen, Pleasant Valley; Janet (Daw ) Burton, Vernal; Sharon Abegglen, Salt Lake City; Lawella (Duane) Perry, Roosevelt; Lee (Jody Richens) Pleasant Valley; 18 grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren jt sister Helen MarCutrk, Vernal; brothers Verl (Rhea) Warburton and LeRoy (Judy) Warburton, Sandy. Dixon Freddy Farnsworth, age 50, of Neola, passed away September 13, 2002, at the Uintah Basin Medical Center from a heart attack. She was born October 29, 1951, in Grand Junction, CO, to Nola Gene Schmidt and Kenneth B urton Dixon. She married Doug Farnsworth on November 25, 1981, in Gusher. Freddy had a lore for life and enjoyed her time on earth with her husband, daughter and grandchildren. She loved the outdoors, crafts, and her animals. She enjoyed doing thin gs for her grandchildren. She looked forward to life and every new adventure that was sent her way. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by everyone whoknew her. She is survived by her husband, Doug Farnsworth, Neola; daughter, Lori (Glen) Tanner, Myton; 3 grandsons, Brett Penny, Shannon Penny, Neko Tanner, all of Myton; 2 granddaughters, Stormy Buttler, Myton; Cherisa Leigh Priebe, Neola; parents, Nola and Ken Dixon, Dinosaur, CO; sister Brenda Whitte, Grand Junction; 2 nieces, 1 nephew, 1 great-nepheand niece, and close friends she loved and thought of as family. Dixon Freddy" Farnsworth. 50. died Sept. Labrum Adin Mirl Gardner, Jean Freida Verlynn Edward Stewart, age 81, of Roosevelt, passed away September 1 5, 2002, at the Uintah Basin Medical Center. He was bom March 24, 1921, in Utahn, toMilton Edward and Rozella Anderson Stewart He married Donna Lee MacDonald, August 4, 1941, in Evanston, WY. Their marriage was later solemnized in December 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. Verlynn served in the US Army during World War II and was stationed in Germany. He received his education from Utah State University in Forestry, andwas a Rancher, his first love, while working for the forest service. His biggest hobby was work. He worked at the Highland Daily, the Gilaonite Mines, operated the first nursing homes in Roosevelt and Vernal and was on the ambulance service, all at the same time. He and Donna owned a restaurant called Kings Chicken", which was half restaurant half sporting goods store. He loved animals especially horses, hunting, fishing, going to the mountains, travelinginhhiinotorhoine with his family, and working in his flower garden. He was an active member in the LDS Church aervingaa ward clerk. w J. Murray Julius Rex "Chunky Murray, Jr., age 61, of Alterra died September 9, 2002 at his home. Chunky was born September 18, 1940 in Roosevelt to Julius O. and Mary Mae LaRose Murray. He married Lois Christensen on February 4, 1958 in Vernal. Chunky was a member ofthe Elks Club and the Search & Rescue in Vernal. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a hunting guide at Hill Creek. Years ago he worked for the Uintah County Sheriffs Department as a deputy. Leaving that to become a Tnbal Court Judge and a BIA CFR Judge. Hetruly was an actor, performing in plays that Nels Carlson directed. He had many talents and accomplished many things in his life.
