Utah Cultural Groups Invited To Participate in Centennial Individuals and organized groups throughout the state of Utah who have self-sustaining services and events in music, drama, art, pageantry and parades pa-rades which they would like included in-cluded in Centennial planning and sponsorship are invited to communicate with the arts divi-sion divi-sion of the Centennial commis sion before June 1, 1946. The purposes of this invitation are to bring to the attention of the Centennial commission any effort worthy of consideration and to coordinate all contemplated events into the most effective state-wide schedule. The Centennial Cen-tennial commission is in no way obligated to accept offers from any individual or group, but will be sympathetic to the ambitions ambi-tions of all who wish to participate par-ticipate in the celebrations. "Self-sustaining services and events" include concerts, drama, pageants, programs, broadcasts, floats, art works, original music, etc., which may be contributed to the Centennial celebrations without with-out cost to the Centennial commission. com-mission. Applications for official offi-cial recognition should be submitted sub-mitted in the form of a letter. I This should outline the proposed activities; the number of participants, partici-pants, both as performers and auditors; the date when such event should be held; and the place or places most suitable for presentation- Included should be a statement indicating the willingness and ability of the individual in-dividual or group to finance the contemplated project and an indication in-dication of the approximate amounts involved. Original application will be accepted only by mail. Where personal interview is necessary the proper authorities of the Centennial commission will |
