Show Border Battle Leaves One Dead El Paso The body of Angel Tar-rango Tar-rango was found on the Mexican side of the border after a pitched battle between be-tween border patrolmen and -persons believed to be smugglers. A horse belonging to Jorge Carrillo,' Mexican fiscal guard, was wounded. The border bor-der patrol men reported that they had been fired on from the Mexican side of the Rio Grande river at about the same time from behind them on the American side. Taking shelter behind a sand bank, the officers returned re-turned the fire in both directions. The commander of the Jnarex fiscal guards and Chief of Police Carlos F. Austin of Juarez insisted no shooting had been J done from the Mexican side. j |
